Thanks to Rod, I now know how to setup a VPN into my home network from
anywhere.  Great Job Rod, presenting the various options and pointing
out the ones that work.

FYI: My last RAID adapter is a Manhattan ULTRA ATA 133 Controller PCI
Card.  It is supported via the 'pata_it821x' ide driver (which you have
to compile into the stock kernels).
