[fwlug] Intel mkl libraries

I have to admit that I'm completely without any experience with the MKL
libraries or the Intel compilers and toolchains.
In fact, I'm sort of surprised that a library like that from Intel would
run at all on AMD chips...
I hope someone else has some real advice.
