And may I also say Hello, FWLUG!
Enjoyed last week's meeting very much.
I am a retired computational chemist from Kodak, and am still heavily
involved in predicting light absorbing properties, such as color, of dyes. I
keep a dual-dual RHEL4 AMD box running pretty much 24/7; there is also a
dual Xeon around running RH7, and soon to be CENTOS5, and an old retired IBM
VISTA box running W2K for thinngs like PowerPoint and other MSW based
programs. I got spoiled in industry having good Linux system support, and
now I'm needing to do a lot of that on my own. Through e-mail postings the
group has already given some excellent suggestions on how to do a few
necessary tasks. Many thanks!!
